SUSTAINABILITY POLICY
CALVELEX recognizes that the existence of a sustainability policy is a fundamental pillar for the success of a company and its activities in the medium and long term. Our policy of sustainability incorporates these principles: ethics, social responsibility, and environmental practices, which inserts into the company’s management and economic and financial decision processes. This happens because the people are also conscious of the impact they have on the environment, they want to participate in the movement slow fashion where the clothes are made with high quality and timeless.
The key components of our sustainability policy are:
- Promoting environmental protection through integrated water, energy and waste management;
- Promoting and encouraging safety at work in all activities carried out in the company;
- Encouraging the professional development and personal fulfilment of all employees.
Besides the promotions of technological solutions, as in AVATAR 3D implementation, there are other actions implemented all over the units that also aims to preserve the impact of the industrial activities:
- Solar Panels, as reusable and clean source of energy;
- Recycling, that being personal trash and on the production line;
- Rationalizing the consumption of energy and water;
- Promoting and monitoring an integrated HST policy (SMETA audit every 2 years);
- Minimizing production waste by triple checking each garment at control stations during on-going production process;
- Promote ethical and environmentally friendly support to all the workers providing solutions as common transportation and use of homemade farm products on canteen meals.
